Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Construction Industry
We’re currently seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join a dynamic team in the construction industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is confident working with a wide range of machinery from bulldozers and cranes to asphalt plants and hydraulic excavators.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on heavy equipment
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections to prevent breakdowns
- Interpreting technical manuals and schematics to carry out repairs and enhancements
- Collaborating with team members to maintain service schedules and ensure safety compliance
- Researching and sourcing parts, with a preference for aftermarket solutions
- Keeping detailed service records and advising on maintenance schedules
What We’re Looking For:
- Hands-on experience with brands such as John Deere, Caterpillar, JLG, Bobcat, and more
- Strong knowledge of emissions systems, electrical diagnostics, and preventive maintenance
- Ability to work independently — this role is 70% hands-on repairs, 30% admin and research
- Vocational certification or associate degree in mechanical engineering preferred
- Professional certifications and fleet management experience are a plus
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Saturday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday & After Hours: On-call as needed
