Manager - Corporate Governance

Our client, a prestigious law firm, renowned for its commitment to excellence, integrity, and client satisfaction. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager in Corporate Governance to lead the firm’s governance initiatives and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Corporate Compliance Oversight: Oversee and manage all aspects of corporate compliance, including regulatory filings, corporate governance policies, and internal controls. Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks at all levels of the organization.
  2. Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement corporate governance policies and procedures to promote transparency, accountability, and ethical behavior within the firm. Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance best practices.
  3. Board and Committee Support: Provide comprehensive support to the firm’s board of directors and committees, including meeting coordination, agenda development, and preparation of meeting materials. Facilitate effective communication between board members and executive leadership.
  4. Risk Management and Mitigation: Identify potential areas of risk and develop strategies to mitigate legal and regulatory exposure. Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to ensure the firm operates within established guidelines and standards.
  5. Regulatory Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, auditors, and external stakeholders on corporate governance matters. Stay informed about changes in regulations and advise senior management on compliance implications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in corporate governance, compliance, or legal management roles within a law firm or corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law, regulatory requirements, and best practices in governance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
