Billing Assistant
Description
Our client, a well-respected law firm, is seeking a Billing Assistant to join their busy and professional finance team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring strong administrative or accounting experience, this opportunity is for you!
Job Duties:
- Prepare invoices for a designated client portfolio.
- Ensure all invoices are produced in an efficient and timely manner.
- Ensure client billing information is accurately recorded and maintained to ensure that accuracy of invoices raised.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual and bi-annual billing.
- Prepare consolidated statements summarizing outstanding balances for key clients.
- Liaise internally to progress any billing related queries from other departments.
- Manage the Finance mailbox, ensuring billing requests are prioritized and addressed promptly.
- Regular exception reporting to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the billing data.
Requirements:
- 3+ years administrative and/or accounting experience within a corporate service provider or financial industry is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task, handle volume, coordinate, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines.
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of Viewpoint software, Oracle and SSRS reporting.
- Working knowledge of E-billing portals such as CounselLink, Legal Tracker, TyMetrix, CounselGO and Collaboration.
