Accounts Assistant

Description

Our client is looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their expanding team. In this role you will be responsible for recording income and expenses, reconciling bank accounts, processing payments, and maintaining meticulous financial records. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with room for growth.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain accurate financial records in accounting systems.
  • Perform assigned accounting and clerical tasks.
  • Collect and sort invoices and cheques.
  • Process payments to vendors and employees.
  • Record company charges and refunds.
  • Address customer/client issues promptly.
  • Prepare documents and reports for the Finance department.
  • Contact tenants/clients regarding delinquent accounts.
  • Arrange bank deposits as needed.

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in financial services or similar roles.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing preferred.
  • Bookkeeping experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting systems.
  • Strong ethical standards when handling financial information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
