Accounts Assistant - Temp to Perm

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-orientated Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team of a global Financial Services organization. You will work in a high performing team and enjoy the chance to work on a varied & interesting work load. 

This role will suit a dynamic and career driven accounting professional who is looking to grow their career in the Cayman Islands. 

The position will initially be on a temporary basis though strong performance will likely lead to a permanent opportunity 

Duties and Responsibilities to include:

  • Organizing and managing of inbound reports, interpreting and accurately entering transactions and balances into the accounting system
  • Accounts payable & receivable 
  • Posting  cash receipts and payments into the  system and monitoring  balances 
  • Reconciling cash flows 
  • Assisting with administration of letters of credit and trusts.
  • Performing analytical reviews to check the data for accuracy
  • Assisting with other ad hoc tasks as required.

  
Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience 
  • Good written and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks. 
  • Strong reconciliations skills and the ability to identify and solve problems. 
  • Prior professional working experience within the insurance or financial services industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.
