Accounts Clerk

SteppingStones is working on behalf of our client to assist them in sourcing an Accounts Clerk to join their team.

The Accounts Clerk is responsible for assisting and supporting the processing, monitoring and maintaining the accuracy of the accounting records for the company. The job will also include assisting the Accountant with various duties as needed. The duties for this role include preparing prepayment journals for update of the general ledger, performing weekly checks on all accounts to ensure transactions are accurately recorded, and weekly cash reports and reconciliations.

We are looking for a candidate that has intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and who is technologically proficient. The candidate needs to be highly numerate, organized, and self-motivated.

Requirements:

  • An Associate degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a financial institution
