Assistant Claims Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a rapidy growing & local brokerage in Cayman Islands.
The individual will specialise in Health Insurance claims and manage a team of Customer Service Reps.
- Applicants should possess or in the process of Health Insurance Associate (HIA) designation, AHIP, ACII, or equivalent
- 5 years’ experience in Health Insurance; individual and large group health and employee benefits
- Medical Claims knowledge
- Knowledge of health insurance laws and standard health insurance benefits
- Claims coding and management to ensure they are processed in accordance with policy conditions. Interpret Explanation of Benefit (EOB) and provide explanation to the client.
- Manage client renewals. Negotiate terms and conditions with carriers on behalf of clients.
- Resolve complex escalated claims management, assist with pre-authorization
- Following up on complicated customer calls where required and proactively manage and ensure timely resolution of customer and distributor claims-related issues
- Strong customer service, written and verbal communication effectively with all levels of management and diverse clientele. Well-developed administrative skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction. Good attention to detail
