Assistant Property Manager

Job Overview
The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of assigned properties, including commercial, residential, and land assets. This includes managing maintenance, tenant relations, lease agreements, vendor performance, and budget preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administration of assigned properties.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and resolve disputes.
  • Ensure lease requirements are met and coordinate tenant move-ins, move-outs, and relocations.
  • Maintain vacant spaces in “lease-ready” condition and perform regular property inspections.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with contracts and safety standards.
  • Prepare budgets and monthly operational reports for Asset Management.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and property-related incidents.
  • Cultivate collaborative communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and recommend capital projects for assigned properties.
  • Available for after-hours emergency calls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial office, retail, and/or residential property management.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and construction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service and public relations skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
