Automotive Teaching Assistant - Temporary

SteppingStones is actively searching for an on-island Automotive Teaching Assistant to assist in a workshop setting at a local high school.

The successful candidate must possess excellent oral communication skills as they will be working as a demonstrator with adults and young adults. The candidate should be able to work independently but also have the necessary skills to work in a team setting. A comprehensive knowledge of motor technology is required as the candidate must know how to perform oil changes on various Japanese, American, and European vehicles and be able to inspect maintain and repair engine and chassis systems. We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to listen and follow instructions while also having the ability to solve problems and conduct themselves efficiently and practically. The responsibilities of this role include preparing the workshop for practical classes, keeping an accurate inventory of equipment, and supporting the practical tasks set out in the school curriculum.

Requirements:

• Level 2 certified Automotive Technician
• 5+ years of experience working in a workshop
