AWS Developer
Description
Location: Remote (with preference for time zone alignment to EST)
Our client is a technology-driven financial services firm based in Cayman Islands. They specialize in supporting digital asset investment strategies with robust, institutional-grade infrastructure.
The Cloud (AWS ) Developer will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud solutions
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement highly available, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions on the AWS platform.
- Develop and maintain backend services and serverless applications supporting digital asset custody, fund administration, and client onboarding.
- Work with technologies like AWS Nitro Enclaves, KMS (Key Management Service), and MPC (Multi-Party Computation) for cryptographic key management and data protection.
- Integrate AWS services including Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFormation/Terraform, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, and CloudWatch into production-ready systems.
- Ensure all systems meet high standards for security, availability, and compliance, particularly with financial regulatory requirements such as data localization, audit logging, and encryption.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure cloud-native best practices are embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and reliability of existing cloud applications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Developer, Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a strong advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying applications on AWS.
- Prior exposure to secure cloud development in regulated environments
- Demonstrated experience with AWS security tools and principles, especially Nitro Enclaves, IAM policies, KMS, and related cryptographic tooling.
- Experience working with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
