Chief Financial Officer - Temporary

SteppingStones is working on behalf of our client, a non-financial services organization, to assist them in sourcing a temporary Chief Financial Officer to join their team for 6 months. 

In this role the CFO is responsible for the management and supervision of the financial team, oversight of the finance and bursary functions, the financial policies and procedures, and management of the operating and capital budget of the organization. 

We are looking for a candidate that has experience leading an organization accounting and finance team with technical competency in financial functional areas including financial reporting, internal controls development and implementation, policy development, financial planning and budgeting, and bursary and debt management. 

This role requires excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively, strong leadership skills, and the ability to multi-task and balance a workload in a high-pace environment. Must be computer proficient and able to use Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word. 

Requirements:

• A Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field 
• A professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• 7+ years of financial leadership experience 
• A working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
