Chief Operating Officer & Project Manager, Construction - Jamaica based role

One of the Caribbean’s largest Private Equity Funds is looking for a COO and Project Manager to oversee their regional property developments.

The COO will work alongside the CEO in a young, forward thinking and high performing team. The role will cover Strategic Planning, Portfolio Management, General Operations and overseeing Project Management, Procurement and Acquisitions. 

The firm has a number a large residential developments in both Jamaican and Cayman with further regional projects likely to begin from 2023. The team has seen their balance sheet triple in recent years and they need to COO to come in and really ensure the growth, projects and acquisitions run smoothly. 

The role is based in Kingston, though regional travel is expected periodically. They are offering relocation, a salary, housing allowance (for those relocating) and a profit share related bonus that has excellent potential to be highly lucrative.  

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture
• Graduate Degree in Business Administration or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of Real Estate Industry experience.
• Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position
• Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
• Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles 
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project and construction management software (Basecamp, MS Project, Procore etc.) is a strong advantage
