Claims Examiner

Description

SteppingStones are working alongside our client, a leading on-island insurance provider, to assist them in sourcing a Claims Examiner to join their team. 

The Claims Examiner is responsible for processing health insurance claims, preparing and handling responses to queries, and providing a high level of customer service and care to clients and providers. The role will also include auditing and authorizing claims and verifying eligibility and pre-certification. 

We are looking for a candidate that has experience processing health claims with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and health insurance benefits. This role will also require aptitude for mathematics, decision-making, detail-orientation and accuracy, and meeting deadlines. 

Requirements: 

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Nursing, or any medical-related discipline 
• 2+ years health claims processing experience 
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office
