Director of Operations

Description

SteppingStones is delighted to be assisting our client, a global financial services firm, in souring a Director of Operations to join their team!
  
  
Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and report to the Board of Directors on all operational aspects
  • Ensure all operational standards of the company are monitored in respect of service levels to clients, policies, and procedures
  • Lead in the development of the strategic and operational initiatives of the company
  • Assist in the development of innovative services that respond to client needs within the company’s target markets
  • Oversee the training and development of staff and assist team leaders in the supervision of staff
  • Assist the Managing Director and Finance team with budget setting procedures
  • Understand the business purpose and background details for the company’s clients, and ensure administration of such structures are in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Manage production and distribution of timely invoices, cash collections, and minimize bad debts
  • Ensure follow up on action points that arise from company meetings
  • Foster a sense of teamwork and collaboration amongst staff members
  • Response promptly to risk review queries and action points

  
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accountancy, Finance, or similar.
  • Significant experience operating at a senior level within a financial services environment (or similar)
  • Experience dealing with detailed compliance and risk issues
  • Sound working knowledge of local trust, company, and funds laws and regulations
  • Clear understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail
  • STEP, ICSA, CPA or equivalent certification would be advantageous
