Executive Director
Description
SteppingStones is working alongside our client to assist them in sourcing an Executive Director to join their non-profit, charitable organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the mission, values, and strategic plan of the organization are achieved while overseeing the day-to-day operations.
The role will include working closely with the volunteer Board of Directors to provide sound management of the organization’s operations. The Executive Director will supervise two paid staff and additional support volunteers while reporting to the Chairman of the Board.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to administration, safety and risk management, mentor development, financial management, NPO compliance, public relations, and marketing and communications.
We are looking for a candidate who has had a successful track record of managing an operating budget of least $150k annually and who has supervised a minimum of two professional full-time staff and had direct oversight of a program with at least 75 participants.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills and will be able to confidently present to large groups. We are looking for someone who can motivate and manage a team in a complex and fast-paced environment while having excellent time management, organizations skills, and attention to detail. Technological proficiency particularly in Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Teams is a must.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of human services, communications, or administration
- 10+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years of managerial experience
- Non-profit sector experience advantageous
