General Manager - Cayman Islands

On behalf of our client, a major regional well-known restaurant, we are actively seeking a General Manager. If you can retain authority, encourage creative problem solving, and promote a constructive work environment among your staff, please read on!
  
Responsibilities includes;

  • Executing daily restaurant and retail operations
  • Playing a significant role in handling all guest interactions in a professional manner
  • Ensuing a safe working and customer environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
  • Monitoring and ensuring that restaurant operates with an adequate level of staff
  • Developing and implementing plans and goals for the company
  • Administering disciplinary action for all staff in a fair and consistent manner
  • Evaluating performance of hourly service staff
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies
  • Undertaking staffing responsibilities (hiring, training, evaluating etc.)
  • Assisting in budgeting and monitoring expenses

  
Knowledge/Experience;

  • Must be degree educated in Culinary or Hospitality
  • Extensive experience in food and beverage service
  • Generally, minimum 5-10 years in a similar relevant capability
  • Proven track record of senior management
  • Proficient in MS Office, relational databases and software
  • Outstanding ability to motivate, influence, encourage and portray a positive attitude at all time
  • Excellent organizational, leadership and flexibility skills
