Help Desk Technician

SteppingStones is working on behalf of our client, a growing local IT Services company, to assist them in sourcing a Help Desk Technician to join their team.

The Help Desk Technician will be responsible for providing clients with technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, or software. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking technical assistance and will perform remote troubleshooting, respond to client emails, and walk clients through the problem-solving process. The role also includes installing, modifying, and repairing computer hardware and software and providing accurate information on all IT products and services.

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience as a help desk technician. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy and have a working knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control. The role requires a good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products. To be successful in this role you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Requirements:

  • A university degree in any IT / ICT related discipline
  • A+, Server+ or Network+ certification
  • 3+ years experience a help desk technician
