IT Officer/Manager (Temporary)

Description

We are working with a long standing that is seeking a skilled and experienced Temporary IT Officer/Manager to oversee their organization’s IT operations and infrastructure for a specified duration. The Temporary IT Manager will be responsible for managing a team of IT professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of their technology systems, and implementing IT strategies to support their business objectives. This position is temporary and will require a commitment for a specific period.
  
Key Responsibilities:

IT Strategy and Planning: -Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute short-term IT strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
-Assist in planning and executing IT projects and initiatives during the temporary assignment.
  
Team Management: -Supervise and lead a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff.
-Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
  
Infrastructure Management: -Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and storage systems.
-Ensure systems are secure, up-to-date, and efficient.
  
Vendor Management: -Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, including negotiating contracts and agreements when necessary.
  
Technical Support: -Provide technical guidance and support to end-users and resolve escalated IT issues.
-Ensure timely response to helpdesk requests and incidents.
  
Security and Compliance: -Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect the organization’s data and systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Training and Development: -Identify training needs for IT staff and coordinate relevant training programs.
  
  
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, PMP) is a plus.
-Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar leadership role. -Strong technical knowledge in areas such as network administration, systems management, and cybersecurity.
-Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
-Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
-Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Project management experience is a plus.
-Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
-Flexibility and adaptability to a temporary work arrangement.
