Lead Network Engineer

SteppingStones is working alongside our client to assist them in sourcing a Lead Network Engineer to join their Cayman team.

The Lead Network Engineer will be responsible for the development, management, and ongoing maintenance of Network systems and appliances. The role involves planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintain, supporting, and optimizing all local and wide area network connections, software, and communication links.

We are looking for a candidate that has the relevant professional certifications that validate the fundamental skills required to manage technologies including Palo Alto PCNSE, HP Aruba ACSA or ASA, Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification. The role requires extensive experience with network systems, protocols, and standards such as Ethernet, OSPF, LACP, Trunking, VLANs, TCP/IP and software-defined and cloud-based networking. Experience with current network hardware that includes HP, Riverbed, Cisco, Brocade, and Aruba technologies and a strong knowledge of network management and analysis tools including Solarwinds’ Network Configuration Manager, and Network Performance Monitor is a must.

Requirements:

• A University Degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline
• 10 + years of experience in a network role
• 5+ years in a senior role
• Knowledge of industry standards and roadmaps applicable to the offshore industry
