Learning & Development Specialist | IT Trainer

Description

In this role, you will collaborate closely with IT professionals, digital transformation teams, and business services to design and implement training solutions aligned with system updates. You will be responsible for delivering creative and effective training programs to close skill gaps, enhance performance, and support the ongoing development of our business.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with IT, Product Owners, and subject matter experts to gather course-specific information and create training plans that align with upcoming changes.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and propose relevant solutions.
  • Develop engaging, innovative learning materials, including documents, job aids, simulations, and media such as videos or games.
  • Deliver training through a variety of methods, such as eLearning modules, virtual sessions, webinars, classroom training, 1:1 coaching, and more.
  • Continuously update and refine learning materials to ensure they remain relevant and support the organization’s evolving needs.
  • Track learner progress and assess the effectiveness of training using surveys, performance metrics, and other evaluation tools to drive continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Alternatively, a recognized training qualification.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a corporate training environment, focusing on instructional design for diverse teams and functions.
  • Strong design skills with experience using tools like Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Proficient in eLearning authoring tools and familiar with eLearning standards (e.g., SCORM, HTML5).
  • Excellent writing skills, with experience developing instructional copy, video scripts, and audio content.
  • Experience with LMS administration, including the creation and management of role-based learning pathways, is a plus.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
