Relief Worker

Description

On behalf of our client, we are actively seeking a patient and compassionate Relief Worker to join their team and provide emotional and practical assistance to their clients.

Responsibilities:
Schedule and coordinate meetings and drop-in visits with clients
Assess the needs of clients and craft appropriate care plans
Provides case management and advocacy; intervenes in crises
Emotionally support clients by engaging in conversations and actively listening to their concerns
Accompany clients to meetings with other healthcare facilities or agencies
Collaborate with other support workers to exchange advice and best practices

Requirements and Qualifications:
Knowledge of standards and requirements in the support work field
Service-oriented with a passion for helping people
Solid knowledge and experience working with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault
Good interpersonal communication skills, with an emphasis on active listening
Empathetic approach to address crisis intervention and resolving conflicts
Strong problem solving and leadership skills
Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Worker or a related field
Fluent in other languages is an asset
Proven compassionate and patient demeanor
