Senior Estimator

Description

SteppingStones is working alongside our client to assist them in sourcing a Senior Estimator to join their team.

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for comprehensive, detailed, accurate preparation of estimate varying by type of report; and the experience and ability to perform job cost analysis. The successful candidate will actively participate with the project and business development team and manage the Estimating Department.

This role requires detailed knowledge of preconstruction services including client qualification and conceptual budgeting, familiarity with varying design development phases along with iterative cost support and client proposals.

We are looking for a motivated, results-orientated team player with strong personal organisation and planning skills who will be able meet challenging deadlines and problem solve as needed. The successful candidate will have the initiative to identify, address and resolve pricing friction and delays promptly and will have experience with product research, vendor-sourcing, and procurement of overseas materials.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of recent senior level experience prating project estimates and proposals
• 5+ years of hands-on experience using Estimating Software and MS Project
• Previous experience in residential, commercial or industrial construction industry sectors
