Senior IT & Billing Specialist
SteppingStones is working on behalf of our client to assist them in sourcing a Senior IT & Billing Support Specialist to join their team.
The Senior IT & Billing Support Specialist will participate in the development and implementation of the organization’s information technology goals. The responsibilities of the role with be broad and will range from reviewing and filling internal help requests and monitoring computer and network performance to serving as a conduit between the business and IT function in order to identify, develop, and implement new IT programs.
The successful candidate will perform administration, configuration, and maintenance on Linux/UNIX, Windows, and WMware operation systems, provide helpdesk support for internal and external customers, and will resolve hardware related server problems. The role also includes liaising with billing vendors, supporting existing server infrastructure, and support Microsoft Software.
We are looking for a candidate that has experience with billing systems and running crystal reports and other technical reports. The successful candidate will need to have an intermediate knowledge of VMware and virtualization technology, operational experience with a multi-domain Active Directory, and a sound understand of Active Directory, Exchange, File and Print services, and DNS. The role requires effective verbal and written communication skills which includes the ability to explain problems and solutions to non-technical users, attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment.
- BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
- Professional certification (A+, Security+, Linux+, CCNA, MCSA) preferred
- 7+ years of experience as systems administrator within a medium sized enterprise
- Expert level experience with Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
