Site Architect
Description
A Site Architect is sought to manage and oversee the architectural aspects of construction projects. This role is central to ensuring that construction aligns with design intent, quality standards, and building regulations. The position involves regular site presence, issue resolution, and close collaboration with the design and construction teams.
Key Duties
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance with design drawings and specifications.
- Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals.
- Act as the main architectural point of contact on-site; coordinate with contractors, consultants, and clients.
- Prepare site reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates.
- Resolve on-site architectural challenges and respond to RFIs.
- Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections prior to handover.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and maintain comprehensive site documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
- 5+ years of experience in architecture, including site-based project experience.
- Professional architectural registration or eligibility preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit; strong understanding of construction methods and detailing.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with local (Cayman Islands) building codes is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites across Grand Cayman.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience with luxury residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
- Knowledge of sustainable design or green building certifications (e.g., LEED).
