Team Leader - Compliance

Description

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working with both internal and external stakeholders to assist in ensuring the customer due diligence process for all clients and client entities is undertaken in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures
  • Assist in undertaking KYC procedures as part of outsourced services for clients
  • Assist with identification of high risk persons and assist in ensuring adequate senior management approval is received in line with the organization’s policies and procedures
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of jurisdictional policies, procedures, and processes, where necessary
  • Working with the Head of Compliance and Regulatory Reporting Services, assist in ensuring the company meets the on-going monitoring requirements which include but are not limited to periodic reviews and compliance audits
  • Working alongside the Head of Compliance and Regulatory Reporting Services, and other members of the team, to assist in identifying and implementing process improvements and other service innovation changes that would improve the client experience
  • Undertake other such tasks and projects on an ad-hoc basis
  • Manage, lead and develop a team of more junior staff

Experience required:

  • A relevant Bachelors degree and a minimum of 4-5 years experience within compliance ACAMS qualified or working towards the ACAMS designation
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence and precision 
  • Prior experience presenting at Board level would be an advantage
