Technical Manager
Description
We are seeking a Technical Manager to join an IT Managed Services Provider based in Cayman Islands. The Company mainly services clients in the Offshore financial services sector, as well as various SME and Enterprise clients in the Caribbean region
This is a Senior leadership role with aspects of managerial, technical and commercial responsibility for technical teams within the Company such as Service Desk, 3rd Line Support / Projects Team and the Technical Architect group. The successful candidate will also be required to assist the Sales teams in Commercial and Technical proposals to drive success. Furthermore, this is also a client-facing, revenue generating role and the ability to multi-task and manage and deliver on multiple projects is paramount.
Must have requirements include:
- Computer Science or IT related Degree.
- 5+ years’ experience working with traditional Tier-1 software vendors such as Microsoft, VMware, Citrix and Veeam technologies.
- 5+ years’ experience working with traditional Tier-1 hardware vendors such as DELL / HPE Server & SAN hardware and CISCO networking.
- 5+ years’ experience working with emerging network technologies such as hyper-convergence.
- 5+ years experience of working with Microsoft Azure Public Cloud solutions and other Cloud based technologies such as SaaS, PaaS and IaaS with a current Microsoft MCSE or Azure certification
- Strong commercial skills and experience of managing multiple teams in a hands-on role.
- Strong communication skills and experience in the delivery of Projects and IT services.
Desirable:
- Formal Project Management Certifications
- Previous experience of working for an IT Consultancy firm or Value Added Reseller
