Trainee Delivery Driver

Description

SteppingStones is working on behalf of our client, a locally owned and operated company, to assist them in sourcing a Trainee Delivery Driver.

The objective of this position is to provide the successful candidate with the training to obtain the skills and knowledge in driving a delivery truck, operate industrial warehouse equipment, and ultimately attain a Group 4 Driver’s License. The training program will include on the job mentoring and training by experienced drivers and managers. Once the requirements of the training program have been completed, the Trainee will become a full-time Delivery Driver.

We are looking for a candidate who is punctual, honest, reliable, and hardworking. The role requires that the candidate be physically fit and have the ability to lift goods up to 50lbs. Must speak, read, write, and comprehend English fluently and be able to provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have basic computer proficiency.

Requirements:

• Must be 25 years or older
• A valid driver’s license
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
