Trainee Warehouse Selector

Description

SteppingStones is working on behalf of our client, a locally owned and operated company, to assist them in sourcing a Trainee Warehouse Selector.

The objective of this position is to provide the successful candidate with the training to obtain the skills and knowledge in operating industrial warehouse equipment. The position requires working in various sections of a multi-temperature warehouse selecting perishable and non-perishable orders in a timely manner. The training program will include on the job mentoring and training as well as formal training programs focused on the operation of warehouse equipment, warehouse safety and procedures, and professional conduct.

We are looking for a candidate who is punctual, honest, reliable, and hardworking. The role requires that the candidate be physically fit with the ability to lift goods up to 50lbs and work in a refrigerated environment. The candidate must speak, read, write, and comprehend English fluently and be computer literate.  This role requires a high level of accuracy and so the candidate must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work day or night shifts
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
