VP - Compliance Operations

Description

This major re-insurer has seen impressive growth in the Cayman Islands and regionally and are looking to add an experienced VP of Compliance. The role will involve reporting to board level and you will be the main point of contact for all governance, risk, and compliance related matters for the Cayman Office. 

Key duties:

• Develop the annual Compliance strategy for the Cayman office 
• Work with the Legal team to update and maintain agreements with third parties 
• Responsible for compliance with all Cayman Laws and regulations focusing on AML / ATF legislation 
• Chair High-Risk Client Meetings 
• Conduct client Due Diligence reviews 
• Conduct ongoing client specific AML assessments 
• Oversee annual compliance reviews of the existing portfolio 
• Report to board level 

Successful applicants will have:

• A professional accounting and / or regulatory qualification (ACAMS preferred) 
• A minimum of 5 years regulatory & compliance inexpert at a senior level  
• Extensive experience in the Reinsurance and / or Captive Insurance 
• Experience reporting at Board level is mandatory
