I was delighted to be invited to join the Saxon MG team in a charity golf event held at the North Sound Golf club on Friday 6th July which had been arranged by Ronan Guilfoyle to raise funds for the Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
The Saxon team, smartly outfitted in green shirts (see photo 1) comprised Craig and Vicki from Saxon, Phil Jackson from UBS and Me (in the white hat). It was a really fun afternoon and we had a lot of laughs but also tried really hard (see picture 2 of me concentrating over a putt). Although the team did not win we achieved a very respectable finish within the top third of the field. We did have an individual winner though. Craig Scott from Saxon got his shot closest to the hole on the fiendishly difficult 11th hole (see picture 3 of him receiving his prize). I would like to say that this was totally due to my advice on which club he should hit but it was, of course, all down to his skill in hitting the shot!!
Thank you again Saxon for inviting me to join your team!
