Senior Actuarial Associate
Description
Our client, a Bermuda-based reinsurance subsidiary of a leading financial services business, is seeking a Senior Actuarial Associate to join their team in the Cayman Islands! This is an amazing opportunity for an individual who is dynamic and enjoys variation in their role.
Responsibilities:
- Work to determine reserves for insurance companies
- Perform actuarial model projections for projects including regulatory liquidity testing, assumption testing, and various asset & liability management projects
- Analyze model results, build reports and dashboards, and communicate key drivers with stakeholders across various actuarial functions
- Support the ongoing actuarial model transformation project as needed
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and requests supporting the Valuation area as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or related field
- 2-3 years of actuarial work experience, ASA designation a plus
- Attention to detail with strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal , and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to manage long-term projects
- Working knowledge of life insurance and/or annuity products
- Demonstrated proficiency in Axis
