Application Support Specialist

Description

  • Prepare documentation including detailed diagrams of application configurations
  • Day to day maintenance, documentation, troubleshooting, and monitoring of client applications
  • Provide second level response to client application requests, working with customers and vendors to resolve issues
  • Collaborate with the Applications Support team in the planning, design, deployment, and testing of new applications, or enhancements to existing applications
  • Assist the Application Support team with the planning and installation of client/server software updates and service packs
  • Support our critical applications such as Workplace, PMWeb, Prophix, ARC GIS as well as various other applications
  • Assist with providing orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems
  • Maintain excellent communication with the Applications Manager

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an information technology or business-related discipline
  • A minimum 7 years experience in an ERP business application/functional consulting or support role
  • Expert knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics GP, Business Central and CRM, Business Central, Houdini, Sage, Counterpoint, and ESRI ArcGIS required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Citrix, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 and higher, Active Directory, DNS, MS SQL 2008 and higher
  • Knowledge of MS SQL, PowerBI and Power Automate and its components and requirements
  • Knowledge and experience supporting POS systems such as Counterpoint, LS Retail and Micros is desired
  • Knowledge and experience supporting SharePoint Online and its components desired
  • Proactive, resourceful and a determined problem solver with excellent attention to detail and strong follow through skills
