As an Assistant Underwriter, you’ll play a vital role, offering underwriting support to our client’s Cayman branch. You’ll ensure insurance plans are solid, nurture customer ties, and foster new business relationships. All this, while adhering to regulations and exceeding expectations.
What you’ll do
- Provide friendly and professional service through various channels, including quotes and renewals.
- Discuss policy conditions with clients to facilitate informed decisions.
- Perform due diligence for customers as per risk and compliance needs, maintaining accurate data.
- Identify expiring policies and manage renewals within guidelines.
- Handle new transactions, uphold accurate documentation, and aid in administrative tasks.
What you’ll bring
- Essential: High School Diploma, 5 O’ Level GCSE/CXC General passes in Math.
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in Insurance or related field.
- Insurance Qualification (Cert CII or similar) would be a benefit.
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility, autonomy, and top-notch customer service skills are essential.
