Assistant Vice President, Insurance

On behalf of our client, an internationally recognized and highly regarded Insurance firm in the Cayman Islands, we are actively seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP), Insurance to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be a key relationship figure on captive insurance accounts and will have strong relationships with clients, representatives and regulatory agencies.
  
Responsibilities:

  • Offer captive underwriting and pricing assistance for multiple direct and reinsurance initiatives.
  • Manage the overall insurance administration of a collection of captive and reinsurance accounts.
  • Compile and assess risk information, language and programs, claims, and premium data, while maintaining connections with clients, audits, legal authorities, regulations, and brokerage interests.
  • Present reports on insurance/reinsurance programs, including during client board meetings.
  • Aid business growth and prospecting endeavors, including the preparation of materials and proposals, and participation in competitive verbal tenders.
  • Fulfill a senior claims operational role, encompassing reporting and settlement, assisting colleagues, and coordinating with clients, adjusters, and reinsurers on technical claims matters.

Requirements:

  • Professional Insurance Qualification eg. ACII, CPCU or equivalent
  • 7+ years’ experience in global insurance/reinsurance
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
