Financial Controller - Grand Cayman

On behalf of our client, we are actively recruiting candidates for the role of Financial Controller to join their financial services organization in Grand Cayman.

The Financial Controller will report to the Director of Finance and be responsible for the overall functioning of the financial department for the Cayman Islands.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, analysis and presentation of all financial reporting including month end accounts
  • Reviewing all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Working with the various business managers to prepare reports
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements and report on annual financial plans for both jurisdictions
  • Coordinate and mange audits
  • Assisting in the management, coaching and training of the financial department
  • Manage the payroll function
  • Responsible for regulatory reporting
  • Manage the collection process
  • Manage the change and implementation process and develop plans to improve efficiency where needed

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience with FATCA, CRS reporting and Regulatory filing
  • Internationally recognized professional accounting designation (ACCA, CPA) required
  • 3+ years post qualification experience
  • On-island experience would be a significant advantage
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong and in-depth knowledge of accounting practices
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Understanding of Cayman Islands Government regulations would be beneficial
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills

Salary up to US$100k
