ICT Engineer

Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist Helpdesk Technicians with escalations and technical queries.
  • Provide technical coaching and training to adapt to evolving environments.
  • Offer expert technical support for computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Collaborate with support groups to resolve complex issues promptly.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, and systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for client systems and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors.
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements and competitor strategies.
  • Perform hardware, software, and system upgrades as needed.
  • Implement and monitor network security measures.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of proven experience in a relevant position within an MSP.
  • Proven experience of Microsoft Server design/implementation.
  • Strong understanding of internet security and data privacy principles.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Veeam Backup & Recovery, QuickBooks, Microsoft 365 & Azure, Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft Exchange, and Fortinet Firewalls & Switches.
  • Tertiary education in an IT/ICT related discipline.
  • A+, Server+, or Network+ certification.
  • Microsoft Associate in Windows Server, Azure, or Microsoft 365.
