The role is initially 6 months, with possibility of going permanent for the right candidate!
SteppingStones is recruiting on behalf of an established financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Credit Officer to support its Corporate Banking and Credit teams.
The successful candidate will assist with the management of a portfolio of corporate clients, providing credit, client service and administrative support while helping to maintain strong client relationships and high credit-quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the management of a portfolio of corporate banking clients across lending and non-lending activities.
- Assisting with credit applications, credit assessments and other credit-related matters.
- Reviewing financial statements and conducting financial and cash-flow analysis.
- Supporting client transactions, account updates and tailored financing solutions.
- Working closely with internal relationship, credit and service teams to resolve client queries and ensure a high standard of service.
- Supporting client needs assessments and identifying appropriate cross-selling opportunities.
- Assisting with the onboarding and servicing of new corporate clients.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients while supporting overall portfolio performance and risk management.
Requirements:
- 4–5 years’ experience within banking, including sales/service and credit risk exposure.
- Previous experience supporting corporate banking clients is highly desirable.
- Experience within loans, credit or risk management would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, financial analysis and cash-flow analysis.
- Good understanding of corporate lending practices and credit analysis.
- Knowledge of banking processes, products and service delivery.
- Strong knowledge of the Cayman Islands market.
- Excellent client service, communication and relationship-management skills.
