Accountant

Description

They have played a pivotal role in the development of the Cayman Islands. Founded on principles of hard work and integrity, the company began with ventures in water transport and block manufacturing, setting high standards in construction. Over the decades, they diversified into banking, real estate, and charitable endeavors. 
 
They are now seeking an Accountant to join them, on a full time, permanent basis.

What you’ll do 

• Report to CFO, oversee financial admin including month-end/year-end closing.
• Improve financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare accurate financial reports, fulfill group reporting needs.
• Analyze budget/forecast variances monthly/quarterly.
• Collaborate with CFO on planning, budgeting, forecasting.
• Manage treasury, including cash forecasting.
• Coordinate annual review info provision.
• Monitor financial status of projects.
• Implement innovative tech solutions.
• Act as primary financial contact.
• Lead, manage, mentor accounting team.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years accounting experience, leadership roles preferred.
• Pursuing CPA, ACCA, or similar designation.
• Proven system implementation, process building experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and IFRS.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with financial planning expertise.
• Ability to add value beyond traditional accounting.
• Strong prioritization skills.
