Facilities Coordinator

Description

The Facilities Coordinator will support the day-to-day coordination of building systems, maintenance activities, contractors, purchasing, and engineering-related projects.

The successful candidate will act as a key link between internal teams, maintenance personnel, external contractors, and suppliers. They will coordinate service requests, monitor work orders, track maintenance activities, and ensure that engineering and facilities issues are followed through to completion.

Duties may include:

• Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure work orders are appropriately assigned, tracked, and completed.
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers regarding building maintenance, repairs, and technical issues.
• Monitor outstanding maintenance activities and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with the coordination of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, telecommunications, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Support preventative maintenance programmes and ensure scheduled servicing is completed within required timeframes.
• Monitor utility consumption and assist with identifying opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs
• Coordinate access and scheduling for contractors working on-site

Requirements:

• A diploma, degree, or technical qualification in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in an engineering, facilities, maintenance, property, or building services environment.
• Practical understanding of building systems, particularly HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or related services.
• Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, technicians, or external service providers.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance principles and work-order management.
• An understanding of energy efficiency and utility management would be advantageous.
