Logistics Administrator
Description
SteppingStones Recruitment is seeking a proactive and highly organized Logistics Administrator. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid logistical experience and firm understanding of customs clearance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the customs clearance of incoming cargo.
- Prepare, review and submit customs and shipping documentation.
- Liaise with customs officials, port authorities, shipping agents, transport providers and internal teams.
- Monitor shipments and provide timely updates on clearance status, delays and delivery schedules.
- Ensure duties, fees and other required charges are processed accurately.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipment and compliance records.
- Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies or clearance issues.
- Support the scheduling of cargo collection and delivery.
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable customs procedures and regulations.
Required
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding or customs clearance.
- Sound knowledge of customs-clearing processes, port procedures and relevant documentation.
- Strong administrative, organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics or customs-related systems.
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
- A valid driver’s licence and knowledge of the Cayman Islands logistics environment would be advantageous.
