Reinsurance Operations Analyst

Our client, a growing reinsurance firm, is seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Reinsurance Operations Analyst to join their team! 

We are looking for a talented Reinsurance Operations Analyst who will be responsible for managing various aspects of reinsurance operations, including accounting and underwriting support. The ideal candidate will be proficient in financial analysis, possess a strong understanding of underwriting principles, and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities 

• Process and administer reinsurance contracts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Review contract terms, endorsements, and policies to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and company guidelines.
• Analyze reinsurance data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies in all reinsurance operations.
• Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory audits and examinations.
• Conduct data analysis to support underwriting decisions and provide recommendations.
• Serve as a liaison between the accounting, underwriting, and claims departments.
• Communicate with reinsurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve inquiries and discrepancies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. Relevant certifications or coursework in reinsurance and underwriting preferred.
• Proven experience in reinsurance operations, accounting, and/or underwriting roles within the insurance industry.
• Strong financial analysis skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of underwriting principles and risk assessment.
• Proficiency in using reinsurance software, financial tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the insurance/reinsurance industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
