Pams CIPD Success

It has been Pam’s long term goal to become CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) qualified and in August 2010 Pam successfully passed her final exams.

The CIPD is the UK’s leading professional body for individuals involved in management and development of people. Belonging to this professional body provides access to the latest research, expert advice and resources and also affords valuable opportunities to network with like-minded HR professionals.

Pam studied the course on-line through The Robert Gordon University in Scotland. “Living in the Cayman Islands was not a hindrance in gaining this qualification as all of my studies were completed through Flexible learning.” said Pam. “This option allowed me to study on the Island without having to attend any classroom lectures. It was all was done on-line and through correspondence. I also did not miss out on the support of other students as I was studying alongside other HR professionals globally via regular group internet sessions.  While we did not meet in person, we got to know each other well and it was great to share different perspectives and work as teams on assignments.”
