SteppingStones donates to the NCVO Nadine Andreas Residential Foster Home

In March 2011, the Nadine Andreas Residential Foster Home was the beneficiary of the monthly donation. SteppingStones purchased a much needed basketball hoop to replace an old broken version, as well as donating almost $250 worth of cinema vouchers. In addition, St. Ignatius School very generously donated some footballs and basketballs.

The Nadine Andreas Residential Foster Home Care Manager, John Alban accepted the donations on behalf of the residents of the home from Michelle Gibbon, SteppingStones.  “We are delighted with this donation.” said John.  “In addition to accepting monetary donations, we created a wish list of purchases and projects that we want to achieve this year.  Sponsors can look at the list and decide what they would like to help us with.  A new basketball stand was on the list of sporting equipment that we wanted to acquire and it has already been well used.  The young people always enjoy going to the cinema so that has been equally well received.

Any organisation that would like to contribute to projects for the Nadine Andreas Residential Foster Home can contact John Alban ncvocaremanager@hotmail.com.  The Pines Retirement Home is always looking for volunteers for various projects.  Anyone interested should contact Terrie Farrington on 949-5650.
