Business Process Analyst

Description

We are seeking a skilled Business Process Analyst to lead process improvement and reengineering initiatives across a wide range of organizational functions. This role is focused on enhancing operational efficiency, customer experience, and strategic value delivery through data-driven analysis and technological integration. Working closely with executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, redesigning, and optimizing business processes to ensure resilience, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. The position demands a high level of independence, strategic thinking, and collaboration, operating in a highly dynamic public sector environment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze complex business operations to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or outsourcing.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Lead circa 5 improvement projects annually, each involving multiple processes and high transaction volumes.
  • Facilitate workshops and sessions with diverse teams to brainstorm, design, and implement improved workflows and service delivery models.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional, data, and content requirements.
  • Define KPIs and success metrics for optimized processes and solutions.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and oversee test planning and execution.
  • Monitor system and process performance post-implementation to identify issues and optimization opportunities.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to communicate process changes, impacts, and benefits.
  • Develop training materials, business cases, RFPs, and presentations to support change initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Information Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a business improvement or process optimization role.
  • Professional certifications in BPM, Lean Six Sigma, project management, or related methodologies highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record in leading cross-functional business process improvement projects.
  • Familiarity with reengineering techniques such as Lean, TQM, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience using BPM tools for process modelling, simulation, and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
