Associate Accountant

Description

As an Associate Accountant, you will support the Finance Manager in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and management of financial processes and controls. 

What you’ll do

• Drive monthly reporting, including analysis and commentary.
• Prepare and support in-country reconciliations and journals.
• Assist in clearing GRIR accounts and vendor statement reconciliations.
• Support bank reconciliation.
• Contribute to forecasting and planning.
• Enhance segmental reporting.
• Lead process improvement.
• Support project accounting and fixed asset verification.
• Collaborate with cost center owners for opex reporting and budgeting.
• Assist in audits, both internal and external.
• Communicate with external parties, including banks, creditors, auditors, and vendors.

What you’ll bring

• Minimum BA/BSc degree; Finance or Accounting bachelor’s preferred.
• 5+ years financial reporting/accounting experience, preferably in Telecoms.
• Strong credit problem-solving and counseling skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication.
• Resilience in a fast-paced business.
