Director of Catering - Cayman Islands
Description
Our client, an established company, working within the tourism industry, are, seeking a Director of Catering & Conference Services to join their team. If you are an upbeat and positive person, and understand and convey to others the differentiating factors about catering, then this might be your job!
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the promotion, sales, coordination and facilitation of catering events
- Providing prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- Responding promptly to all inquiries for events
- Attending/conducting all designated banquet meetings
- Planning, evaluating, organizing and directing the activities of the Convention Service Managers
- Ensuring that the department standards are met and that all company policies and procedures are adhered to
- Additional ad-hoc duties as required
Desired Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience within catering and management, ideally within a hotel environment
- Working knowledge of Food & Beverage products
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suits, ISAAC, Office, Google Docs/Drive and Delphi
- Must have proven selling, negotiating and presenting skills
- The ability to operate in a busy environment
- Ability to work independently and complete daily workload
- Strong communication skills are also essential
