Payroll Specialist

Description

A leading organization is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support the efficient execution of payroll operations across multiple business units. This role is responsible for handling administrative payroll tasks, assisting in payroll processing and reconciliation, and ensuring adherence to legal and internal standards. 

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle payroll processing for both salaried and hourly staff across various entities.
  • Maintain and regularly update payroll records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare journal entries and perform payroll account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Coordinate payroll funding and monitor account balances to guarantee timely employee payments.
  • Work with HR and management teams to ensure payroll practices align with employment laws, benefits, and pension requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll-related issues and provide support to employees and supervisors.
  • Assist with training new managers on payroll procedures and best practices.
  • Contribute to internal payroll audits and compliance reviews.
  • Perform general administrative tasks and other payroll-related duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems, financial processes, and general accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with Cayman Islands Labour, Pension, and Health Insurance laws.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel; experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • High level of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information.
