SteppingStones at the Career, Education, Training & Job Expo

Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual Career, Education, Training & Job Expo on Friday, 19th March and Saturday, 20th March at the Family Life Centre on Walkers Road.  SteppingStones will be participating both by having an information booth and also in supporting the Chamber’s focus on workforce development by providing three one hour seminars on the Saturday. Early registration with the Chamber of Commerce is recommended.

First up at 11.00am will be Ciara Aspinall’s Resume Writing Workshop which will deal with both the content and style of a professional resume and how to write a cover letter. Part of the session will involve actually working on the delegate’s own resume, with support from members of the SteppingStones recruitment team. Delegates are invited to bring a resume with them if they have one – if not a template will be provided.

Following on at 12.00noon will be Lindsey Gordon who will be facilitating an interactive session on Interview Skills. During the hour she will look at the whole process from preparation, through attendance at and conduct during the meeting, to following up with the prospective employer after the interview.

Finally at 2.00pm Milly Serpell, Managing Director of SteppingStones, will present an extremely topical seminar on Key Steps to Standing Out in a Tightening Job Market. This workshop is designed to give you advice on how to gain and maintain the competitive edge when seeking or keeping you position in an unpredictable employment market.
